Scotland to Bright
David Danks heralding from Glasgow Scotland , moved to Australia in the 1980’s to pursue his passion of hospitality. Once his apprenticeship was completed, David sought inspiration from London’s West End, working for Quaglinos before returning to our shores as Head Chef for Guemica, Fitzroy. Under David’s leadership, Guemica was awarded 2 highly sought after chef hats. After his successful tenure in Melbourne's best restaurants, David moved to our beautiful North East Victoria and set up Thirteen Steps bistro before joining our Empire Dining family as Executive Chef. Given his extensive expertise and dynamic creativity, we are thrilled to have him on board with us and is a key member of our team.

Our central fireplace will keep you warm in winter and open doors in summer will keep you cool. Empire Dining makes the most of our stunning surrounds, venturing outside into glorious nature by way of our expansive feature deck. A great place to unwind with a drink whilst being serenaded by well renowned local artists, or the perfect spot to reward your efforts and reconvene after a long ride.
